NEST Prenatal Care Program

WIC participants are invited to participate in Project NEST, a partner  program that involves prenatal education and incentives. NEST is operated by volunteers from the Junior Board of Rock Island.  Mothers who participate in NEST receive points for receiving regular medical care and education. Mothers also may attend classes to receive information about topics relevant to prenatal care and early childhood. Participation points are exchanged for baby merchandise certificates.

English language NEST classes are held Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 PM and Thursdays from 5:00-6:00 PM in Conference Room 3 at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island. Spanish language NEST classes, El Nido, are held from 10:00-11:00 AM on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at Casa Guanajuato at 525 15th St. in Moline.

Mothers interested in participating in the NEST program may sign up on site at any NEST or El Nido class. If you would like to learn more about Project NEST, visit their website at  http://www.jbri.org/nest.asp  or email or call Alli Haskill, NEST Chair, at nest@jbri.org or 309-235-8786.
