Enviromental Health

The Environmental Health Division is involved in a wide range of activities that make public safety a priority. Environmental Health programs address all facets of daily life in order to provide an environmentally sound base for an active, healthy lifestyle. There are three "core" programs that are mandated at the County level: food sanitation, potable water monitoring, and private sewage disposal.

If anyone suspects they are experiencing symptoms of food or water based illness they should consult their local health care provider. Report food borne illness to the local health department within 24 hours.
