Health Works of Illinois

The Rock Island County Health Department (RICHD) is one of several Lead Agencies in the State of Illinois. RICHD over sees a 10 county area in assuring medical case management to children up to 21 years of age who are placed in foster care. Health Works of Illinois (HWI) ensures medical needs are identified and addressed.

HWI medical case managers assist the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) caseworkers by working with foster parents, health care providers, dentists and other appropriate services in obtaining appointments and follow up.

Health Works provides in-service training for DCFS staff, physician offices, private agency staff and foster parents.
